This is how you celebrate!

Tintype. Circa 1900

Well, I missed out on this one. But look at these four with their drinks and bills attached to the front of their hats or coat lapels.

Three still look like they’re in their mid teens, and two of them are posing with their thumb under the waistcoat being all showy.  The one on the rear right is holding something with a long handle.  Was he a chimney sweeper holding a long handled brush?  Three of them also wear the same type of hat. Maybe the older one with the early fedora and the unopened wine bottle is their boss, and they were celebrating some type of business success? What type of business?

In New Orleans people pin bills on those who celebrate their birthday, but this doesn’t apply here. Yet there is celebration for certain.
