Paper moon duo. RPPC. Private Collection.
I’ve been wanting to add a ‘paper moon’ to my collection. The moon is so small these two buddies are almost on top of each other. And what a toothy grin!
Two more examples of gents with paper moons here and here.
I need to find out where this paper moon craze came from. They were found in amusement parks and people loved them. This Pinterest page is worth checking out.

Great photo, the other two paper moon pictures are great too, I’ve never seen this here in Belgium, but now I want one too :-).

I don’t know much of paper moons but I think they were an American trend. They’re cute aren’t they!

Hehe! By the way, I love your blog! I used to collect 60s to 80s Barbies and Kens and rerooted/painted a few haha. I love the Tonners too.

Thanks, your blog is great too, you have a beautiful collection! I never attempted rerooting, it sounds so difficult and time consuming, I’m happy with the trend of wigged dolls :-). BTW I have an old photograph blog too, if you’re interested, the link is in the sidebar menu of my WordPress blog.
