A sizzling hot couple of French postcards showing a brunette man with the slicked back hair kissing on the chest of a gorgeous curly haired blonde girl. On the second one, we see that he’s wearing a military uniform.
What’s interesting is both postcards used the same photo session, yet they are not of the same company. I would very much like to discover who the talented photographer was.
- Noyer postcard. Private Collection.
- Same couple, different postcard company.
I want to say this could be the same man as on the blue kiss postcard, not sure about the woman.

Nice pair of cards, it wasn’t uncommon for photographers, much like today to sell their sets to different publishers to make the most of their assets. I have several duplicate images of Miss Ray where the same picture has been published by Rotary, Philco and J. Beagles, they also used to reverse the image so the buying public thought that they were getting a different shot.
I don’t think the lady is the same as “the blue kiss” she has a very similar look but her teeth are more even in this pair.

I wonder if there’s a book about those French romantic and risque postcards. If not there should be!
You’re right about the woman. This gal was a stunner!

But if you wrote a book and people bought it you would be able to afford plenty more

A catch 22 for sure! You should do one on Miss Ray, you have plenty of photos and info! I’ve been toying about the idea of one but something more along the line of ‘the gents of yesteryear’. Hehe

That was my intention when I started my blog about her but they never seem to sell very well. I found one published by Jesse Russell and Ronald Cohn https://summertime76.wordpress.com/2013/01/18/gabrielle-ray-by-jesse-russell-and-ronald-cohn/ which was terrible. I have tried to contact a couple of her descendants but they are very protective of her memory especially her latter years and weren’t very helpful.

I think it’s because people don’t know her. If the emphasis is on the many photos of her it could work. As a coffee table book.

Possibly but it wouldn’t really work as an e-book (I’m already on Amazon but not for the vanilla audience :-O) and to do justice to the cards it would need to be in hardback with all the publishing costs.
A friend has been talking about doing a history of her cards but he’s been talking about it for several years now, I think that he’s encountered a similar problem.

I wouldn’t try to self publish for this kind of project. Too costly and the design would have to be flattering to the cards.
You have a risque e-book? Is it vintage or modern photos? You can send me the info at bowlersandhighcollars at the infamous gmail if you don’t want to post it here :)
