Not a country folk like you!

Something uplifting now. Mr. Life of the Party is standing apart from his group, accessorized with a coat, top hat, cigar and cane. His buddies are laughing at his staged city boy cocky attitude (and I am too). Two women found it funny as well, but the four in the middle are more interested in taking a good picture of themselves!

Stereotypes were and always will be funny. This group seems to have had quite a good time on a sunny summer day. This picture was taken in Nebraska sometime in the 1910s.

My uncle Patrick as a boy

What a cutie, huh? He was born in 54, so this was most likely taken in 1960 of whereabouts. On the cusp of my blog timeline, but I’ll make exceptions for family. Such a pretty photo! We all have that cheeky smile in the family. He doesn’t know I posted this picture of him on here…shhh…..lol.

1880s post mortem of little boy

Most of the time I’d rather post happy pictures, but this one tugged at the heart. A friend of mine said “doesn’t he look peaceful?”

This boy was loved. The way they placed his body, as if he’s asleep.

Mr. Dreamy Eyes with the bowtie

The photographer set the camera at a low angle which is highly unusual, but it paid off and the portrait is gorgeous. This gentleman has very beautiful eyes drawing the viewer in. Loving the fat bowtie too.

Alas, no name or photographer logo…This one came from a dealer based in East Sussex, England. This fine sitter was most certainly British.

Two gents claiming a kiss from the same lady. Don’t they look like twins? Kinky! And, hm, one of them is wearing a wedding ring! Forgot to take it off from the previous romantic photoshoot? ;)
