I could find much information about Frank Newell Libby, thanks to his name and birthdate affixed to the back of this 1/6th plate tintype.

I have a couple of photographs with a halo of sort on the face of the subject. It isn’t a stain but was taken like it. Maybe a defect on the actual photo paper? I’m not familiar with the kind of camera used for RPPCs. The black edge on the left is original of the photograph too and not from my scan.
Anyway, the gentleman on the right is sporting a long mustache, a boat captain hat (?) and a butterfly wing collar with a few rings. His friend (or brother?) is wearing an overcoat and short rimmed square top bowler.
This RPPC came from Estonia.

A group of three friends re-enacting playing cards . Max Kleiman is the only sitter identified. The back of the cabinet card is blank. I like that his two friends are wearing light colored suits and he’s wearing a dark one. It may not have been intentional but it makes for a good composition. I tried to research him and there are a few Max Kleimans who fit his lifetime and emigrated to the US. Did he? Maybe.
